More About Myself

You may be wondering: what is a philosophy major doing in UX? Let me share my journey with you.
Like many dedicated philosophy students, I originally planned to become a philosopher and starve stay in the academia. I published papers and excelled in my classes. Much as I loved debating about philosophical problems, I felt that something was missing. I realized that my work only served myself and lacked impact on others - my effort was more of a "selfish" effort.
However, when I worked in a UX team, my efforts directly influence the user experience and impact the work of designers. My work is not just about personal satisfaction, but about delivering results for those who depend on my expertise.
My journey into UX began when I was captivated by a video about a shopping cart challenge at IDEO. I saw the potential to turn creative ideas into tangible outcomes and knew that this was the field for me. My passion for philosophy and my drive to make a meaningful impact converged in UX design.
My philosophy background continues to benefit me. My fascination with human behavior fosters empathy towards users, while my training in evaluating complex arguments enables me to create content that is logical, clear, and simple. Additionally, it has significantly improved my communication skills, both in writing and verbally. Overall, philosophy has equipped me with a unique perspective that helps me succeed as a Content Designer.
